I went home early today due to feeling like utter shit at work. Fatigue, drainage, body aches, sore throat, all kinds of fun. I don't know if it's just due to the weather changing, or if something's been going around, but whatever it was wore me out something fierce. Got home around 2, hit the bed shortly thereafter, and didn't wake up again until 5 pm. Of course, the side effect of that is that now I'm having problems sleeping at 12:30 AM.
To kill time, and to try to wear myself out, I've been playing Company of Heroes. I find that it's just similar enough to Dawn of War to trip me up at times, but I'm starting to get the hang of various tactics now. I just finished the taking and defense of St. Fromond, and between setting up defenses to funnel the enemies into a couple of kill-zones, rotating my gunlines to keep them fresh, using tanks to hunt down trouble spots (and act as spotters), and utilizing indirect fire from mortars, I'm really learning how different it plays from traditional RTSes. I imagine it'll help me have an easier time with the transition to Dawn of War 2.
