March went out like a lion

It was suprisingly windy this morning... in the 40-60 MPH range at times. Took a few shingles off the roof, and we were lucky; other houses had whole rows peeled off, and one of our neighbors had shingles that buckled under the strain. One house in the area actually lost its roof! Still, all the bluster brought in a partly sunny and warm day, so it wasn't all bad. Of course, now we get April showers to look forward to.

Tomorrow, I get to call the insurance agent. Joy.

The sad state of sports in KC

Is it sad that I saw that the Kansas City Royals won their season opener 5-4, and I immediately thought it was an April Fool's joke?
