End of Year Scorecard
Well, let's see how I did on my resolutions.
- acquire and paint a Tau army for WH40K - and actually play with it.
I have acquired one, and I have the first chunk of it assembled, primed, and partially painted. Still haven't played, though. However,
kbrighton and
tim_almasy have most/all the components for their armies, so it shouldn't be long now.
- do some maintenance and renovation around the house.
Redid the front garden box this spring, so that has to count for something. We also got carpet installed, so there's a bit more renovation. Next up: the kitchen sink and back counter.
-switch all our AV hook-ups to component cables (or at the very least,S-Video for those that don't have component, like the Dreamcast)
Just sold the Dreamcast, so it's no longer a concern, but yes, everything else is on component video now!
- keep at least 1 roleplaying campaign running regularly.
I had my M&M game running up until the last month. Next up, a Shadowrun campaign to start sometime in January
- attend Wing Night more often.
Okay, failed at this one.
- get a bit more fit/active.
I've cut soda down in my diet considerably, and I walk Ein a lot more now. As a result, I've lost a couple of pounds. There's a lot more I could be doing, though.
- actually make use of Nockergeek.net.
Eh, I use it, a little, but it's not like anything in the net (other than this journal and my sig on Forumopolis) links to it.
- write a CakePHP version of my CMS system.
I did do this! It's still rough around the edges, but it's functional and in use!
- keep honing my programming skills.
Started working on my Java 1.5 certification this year, and thanks to my new job, my Java skills are becoming un-rusty and modernized.
- become more comfortable in the kitchen, and with cooking in general.
I've started cooking my own breakfasts!
the_z is so proud. :)
- be a supporting, helpful husband.
- be the best dad I can be for my little girl.
I'll let
the_z judge me here. I think I've done a decent job, though. :)
