Nooooooooooooo!
Dec. 4th, 2007 01:30 pmI've had four people show interest in having me run a Shadowrun 4th Edition game, so I hopped over to Amazon to see what the cost of ordering a copy would be. They have some used copies going for $75.
Wait. What? $75 for a relatively new book that's had at least four printings? That can't be right.
So, on over to Barnes & Noble's website to see their price. Hrm. Cannot currently get a new copy there, either.
Fine. I wander over to www.shadowrun4.com to see about getting a copy straight from the source. And there, I see the awful truth. There, in the product info box, it says, "Status: Temporarily out of print."
*headdesks*
I can't believe this. I find a game that both my group and I want to play, and that I passed on picking up in hardcopy because I was between jobs, and now that I'm employed and ready to get it, it's gone. They're all gone. There's not one to be had.
I think I'm going to have a nice cry now.
