nockergeek: (we do what we must)

Now, these points of data make a beautiful line...

...and we're out of beta, we're releasing on time.

Just got confirmation that my first freelance payment will be sent this week. Huzzah!

In addition, I've already had a response from one of the job applications I sent last week, so hopefully that might pan out as well. I should also hear more news from the headhunter service today, and I just sent them an expanded version of my resume that further explains the kind of work/projects I did at my previous place of employment. Hopefully, that will aid them in finding positions suited to me and my experience.

Things are looking good. This makes me happy, but I'm not resting on my laurels until I have a job.

Look at me still talking when there's science to do...

(no subject)

Four more job applications sent out. That's eight so far this week, although I may need to give the marketplace a couple of days to catch up and post more positions. In the meantime, when I'm not working on my freelance work, I may have to start familiarizing myself with Hibernate and Struts, as knowledge of both has become a de facto requirement for Java development anymore. Fortunately, they don't look to be too difficult to pick up.
