Checked on my direct deposit paycheck this morning.

Normally, health insurance costs are covered half on the first paycheck of the month, half on the second paycheck, and nothing on the all-too-rare third paycheck in a month. However, because Andromeda's paperwork was processed after the first paycheck of this month (which was on the 1st of June), they had to take her monthly payment out of the second paycheck entirely. The end result of this is that my paycheck was around $290 less than usual.

OUCH.

It's not utterly horrible; Z's been setting some cash away, we split our cell phone payments with her mom (as she's on our family plan), and she also has some outstanding commission payments. We've also got a credit card for emergencies. We've also got the renewal for ninja-monkey.com's hosting coming up, so that probably goes on the credit card (we won't have the $95 to cover it otherwise). It's not the end of the world - my paycheck on the 29th is an extra paycheck and should be higher than my normal pre-Andromeda paychecks, so we'll bounce back a bit - but we're going to be squeeking by this week. All our normal bills are budgeted, as are gasoline and groceries, but there's not much else beyond that. I may look at selling off some books or somesuch, just to pad out the account a bit.

May spend the next couple of weeks not going out much, just to save the gas money and roll what we can back into the budget.
