"'We face an enemy that has an ideology,’' Mr. Bush continued. 'They believe things. The best way to describe their ideology is to relate to you the fact that they think the opposite of the way we think.'"
(From Bush Shifting Public Focus to Terrorism and Iraq War)
They believe things. No, really? And the best you can do to describe their beliefs is to describe it as opposite-think? That has to be the most moronic attempt at reducing a conflict to black-and-white (or white-and-black, I guess - the terrorists think backwards, you know!). Sometimes, I'm absolutely ashamed that the people of our nation chose this man as their leader. I know the options weren't great, but come on. Of course, maybe behind the mask of idiocy and incompetence, there lies something more sinister. Is it sad that I wouldn't be surprised to hear Bush say, "We are at war with Eurasia. We have always been at war with Eurasia,"?
(Cookie to anyone who gets the reference.)
