So, I have animarelic's spare Dreamcast (with "graphic anomaly," i.e. "loose A/V cable") in my trunk, with everything I need to hook it up to our entertainment system.

Mind you, I have no games for this system, nor do I have a VMU or even a spare controller, but at the very least I have a Dreamcast. Now I just have to figure out what the hell I'm going to do with a gameless, memoryless, one-controllered Dreamcast. :P

The fluorescent light above my desk has gone into its flickery death throes. We've put in a request to building maintenance to have it replaced, but apparently the chance of that happening some time this week/month are not so good. It makes the eyes ache.

I think I need to give myself some mental challenges, something to keep myself focused. Something like reading so many pages a week/books a month, or doing so much coding on personal projects to keep my skill sharp and improve my knowledge. Doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable - I could be working on something for the Dead Peasants site, or reading Tolkien or C.S. Lewis or Stephen King - but I think I just need to find a way to help myself stay focused on what I want to do.
