nightambre and her husband, I have a new 80GB hard drive in my computer. Took a bit of doing to get it working -- turns out that, as an attempt at system optimization, I'd told Windows that there was no drive in the Primary Slave position -- but once I found that (with the help of some folks on Forumopolis), everything was smooth sailing. I've already reinstalled UT2K4, now that I have room for it again. ^_____^
- My new vidcard fan arrived yesterday, and I got it installed late last night/early this morning. WoW seems to run fine (the framerate feels like it's slightly lower than before, but that may just be faulty recollection), and I was able to get in some UT2K4 time with it as well, with no graphical glitches or system errors, so I think the card's all good.
- Almost all our Christmas shopping is done. I just have one thing to pick up tonight for someone (once I figure out what that one thing should be; don't know if I can afford what the person wants). Something will make itself apparent, I'm sure.
- Finished up our last D&D session of the year last night. I'm on my third character, and I somehow managed to avoid being killed when our party had a fundamental screw-up in the plan due to a unwitting player error. Nothing like talking a foe out of killing you when you have 2 remaining hit points, 2 negative levels, and little to no leverage. Not everyone was so lucky, though; the player who made the error died due to a massive case of burnination. He'll be rerolling for the next game.
-tesstrosa has been making many, many, many cookies, and she's busy making more cookies and candies with my mom for the various gift boxes/bags/etc. that we'll be giving to people as a family gift. I think everyone will be pleased with the results.
Anyway, that's all so far. Work continues on (although this week has been slow as everyone gets ready for the holidays).
