The bad news? The shower still leaks. Apparently, our fix to the diverter valve did not help the problem (although I could have sworn that I was able to take a leak-free shower last Sunday). I'll need to re-check everything and hope that it's just something that wasn't tightened down fully.

The good news? It no longer leaks into the guestroom closet. All the water (which is not a whole lot, but enough to be noticeable) flows from the base of the wall into the bathroom. Checked the closet right after a leak, and the carpet in the rear corner nearest the leak was bone dry.

Hope we don't have to open up the shower stall wall to fix the problem. T_T

I am officially a victim of credit card fraud/identity theft.

Z and I were out doing some light shopping, and twice our card came up as need a verbal referral/approval via the phone. During the second of these incidents, I stepped outside and called up our bank on my cellphone. Got bounced around to a second department, and sure enough, there was a watch on our account. And then, the big question:

"Were you in Mexico recently?"

Apparently, someone in Mexico got a hold of our credit card number, and tried running some purchases through. First one was around $318 or so, which set off immediate flags at our bank, as they require us to inform them ahead of time if we go out of the country. Fortunately, none of the Mexican charges are hitting our account - everything was held and (now) cancelled. The last thing that was approved was a purchase at Perazelli's on Wednesday that hit our bank Friday, so this has all been in the last 24 hours or so.

The upshot of all this? Our credit/debit cards are now deactivated. A new account number has been generated, and we should have new cards within a couple of weeks. I'm hoping that we won't need a new checking account, as these were debit cards and thus connected directly to our bank account. I'm getting a call at home on Monday morning from our bank's security division to get any final details ironed out. We were going to go grocery shopping tomorrow, but it looks like that's not happening, unless I pay by check (and I hope that those will still be accepted in the meantime). Everything else, I'm shutting off until we get the new card. Monday, I hope I can withdraw some cash directly, even if I have to prove my identity via thumbstamp.

WoW subscription payments? Cancelled. I may go to buying game cards.
PayPal? Bank account and credit card info removed, which means that Z's CDs are no longer for sale in the interim.

Yeah, this sucks, and sucks hard.
