Work is... well, mostly dealing with customers and putting out fires today, none of which appear to be our fault (well, save one, but it was very minor and easily fixed). Good thing is, I can take one more thing off of my list and start on something new. Being productive always feels good.

And now, my first real test of being a manager. I've got some communication issues with one of my co-workers. We've been partnered on a project, with me in the lead/mentor position, but over the last couple of days, we've been frustrating each other with a lot of fits and starts and things not being understood clearly. I don't know if it's a matter of me not explaining properly, them not fully comprehending my meaning, both, or something else entirely. I have been somewhat frustrated by an inability to truly focus on the project thanks to some other crunch tasks I've been handling, but those are (mostly) out of the way now, and I can focus on the task at hand - getting this new project off to a good start. I think a meeting on Monday morning to iron out any communicative wrinkles, maybe with a very clearly-written out plan for the project, will help this get going.
