So I have a new Sony 17" flatscreen LCD monitor, thanks to the people at Best Buy who were so kind as to approve financing (above and beyond what I requested, which is nice). That's one item off the list. Next thing will most likely be a new printer for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
tesstrosa, and probably a new scanner as well (although a scanner/printer combo is tempting). Waiting until the monitor is paid off, though.
In case you're curious, it's an SDM-HS75P, with an 8 ms response time, 500:1 contrast ratio, and 160 degree viewing area in both horizontal and vertical angles. Plus, it's got a $70 mail-in rebate, so it's a bunch of happiness. Much kinder to my desk, too - I was finally able to push it back against the wall tonight, and the monitor shelf isn't bowing under the weight of a 17" CRT.
Speaking of which, if anyone local wants a 17" CRT, it's free to a good home.
