Work is boring. Actually, scratch that - I enjoy my job. The project I'm working on is boring. Yet another punchlist filled with tweaks and twonks to the same code I've been working on for the past 3 months. Really, really starting to drag on at this point. There's no major new coding, but just endless rounds of updates (although I'm assured by the client that we're "really close" now).

Just got the title package for Jubei. When we bought him, one of the conditions of our deal was that we'd get a check to cover the sales tax on the car; we had to get that, or there was no sale. The dealership said that they'd cut us the check and send it along with the title paperwork, so we'd have it all in one happy package.

Open the title work...guess what? No check.

The salesman we dealt with says he'll check into that first thing tomorrow, once people are in the office. I'm hoping this was just a misunderstanding on their part and they'll send us the check. Otherwise... we're fucked. We can't afford $1100 in sales tax right now. We've got 'til the 15th to pay it, but still, that'd be a tough number to pull off and stay in the black for the month.

Found out that my best friend from college, who I have not heard from in almost 9 years, is now an assistant professor of theatre, with a Ph.D. and everything.

And my first girlfriend is now teaching (or at least staff) at our old high school.

Time does fly, doesn't it?
