One downside about being technical director - clients get to come into your office and talk to you one-on-one and tell you exactly what's wrong with what you've been working on. At this point, it's all piddly detail shit that doesn't get told to me until after the fact -- "we were testing, and this didn't work the way we think it should" -- but then I'm told that everything has to work perfectly for the testing next week. The fact that the definition of "work perfectly" seems to be a moving target apparently bothers no one but myself.

Work is making me very stressed today, mostly because it's more reworks on the same damn portion of the same damn project that never ends, mostly because the client is terrible at communicating anything to us, and also because we don't have anyone doing much testing -- I test what I can, but because I know how to use the system, I don't make the kinds of mistakes that an unknowledgeable customer would.

Trying not to let it get to me, but I can feel the tension in my entire body.
