Okay, there's one bit of clarification I'm trying to get on our car payments.

We opted for a plan that allows you to make bi-weekly payments, rather than monthly payments. You pay about half as much per payment, but you pay 26 times, which works out to be like paying 13 months a year. This trims 6 months off of our note, which cuts down on our interest somewhat. Now, the first payment is a full-month payment, and that gets paid out of our bank account this coming Friday. We're good for it, and I get paid at midnight on Thursday, so one way or another, the money will be in the account.

However, there's a number listed on our bi-weekly payment agreement - "deferred payment fee". Now, I asked the loan officer at the dealership about that, and he said that it's just the program's fee, and that it's not taken out of our bank account. The website of the company that processes the bi-weekly payments seems to indicate the same thing -- that the fee is taken out of the payments, and not in addition to them. Just to be safe, I'm contacting both the dealership (tomorrow via phone) and the payment company (tonight via email) just to verify that it's not deducted from our bank account. It's $400, and while I think we could swing it (with some help), I'm hoping that we won't have to.

So, no panic or anything. Just need to get something clarified. I'll let you all know if I'm relieved or panicking afterwards.

Talked to the dealership; the "deferred program fee" is just taken out of our regular payments over the period of the loan, so we don't pay out $400 as one lump sum. I feel much, much better now.

Other than that, Z is working, and I am chilling at home until my Warlord demo tonight at 7:00 PM. Anyone who wants to come by is welcome. If you already know how to play, and just want to help out/get a game or three in, that's cool too!
