Jan. 31st, 2005 09:00 amYeah, we're getting hammered with snow...

Very pretty, but damn is it coming down hard. Apparently, we're inside a snowbelt that stretches from Grandview (on the north edge) and Belton (on the south). Above and below those, there's only an inch or two of snow. Between them? 6 to 10 inches. Raintree Lake, which is a couple of miles to our west, straight down the highway from us, is reporting 7 inches already, and the snowfall is somewhere around an inch an hour. Road crews have been plowing since 5:30 AM, and despite this, I still couldn't get my car out of the neighborhood, thanks to the slight incline on the way out. Going to give it a try around noon or so, since
tesstrosa has to get to work, so we'll see if it's slowed down since then. Once they get the roads clear (and can keep them that way) it should be fine.
