Furry little houseguests

We've caught 3 mice in the last 2 days. We didn't have any problems with them last year, but Z thinks that this year they moved inside because of the early cold weather. So far, it appears we've only caught females, and none of them match the sable mouse that started the entire hunt, so we're not sure how many we have. We've heard them gnawing on wood, though, so we're sure there are still more.

In other news, my happy ass is staying home thanks to the Ice Storm Warning announced by the National Weather Service. The last big ice storm shut the city down for nearly a week; this one looks to be about the same. Hasn't started raining/icing here yet, but I'm not taking any chances. Besides, I can telecommute today.

It's been a good day, for being rained (and eventually frozen) in. My copies of Firefly and Dodgeball arrived this morning, thanks to the $75 gift certificate my boss gave me for Christmas. Work has been productive; got my portion of one project finished, and am starting on a second project, along with juggling the usual slew of maintenance and touchups. I'm wearing a new skully that Z found yesterday. We think it's a Beyblade skully, but it's got no real branding on it; just has J. Random Shonen-style Anime Boy stitched into it. The best part is the fleece lining, though. So comfy. Also, I have a small assault force of Dragon's Fury Mechwarrior figs on my desk, looking as menacing as possible. I hope to grow my small army soon. I'm well-fed, comfy, and feeling good.

Only one downside; due to the weather, Wings Night is cancelled. Wings are good, but they're not worth facing icy death.
