(no subject)

Haven't posted in a few days, so here I am. Not much going on. Stomach's been a little upset over the past couple of days, which I think I got from a coworker who was complaining of the same thing last week.

Had a good weekend. Got to see my first Wizards game at Arrowhead Stadium, which we won 2-0. Sitting next to [livejournal.com profile] evildennis during the game gave me a perfect opportunity to learn more about the sport itself. Didn't realize how much of soccer relied on the lead referee's judgment calls, so it's not quite as cut-and-dried as, say, American football. I wouldn't mind going again, although right now our money's pretty much dedicated to A-Kon.

Also introduced [livejournal.com profile] richman1 and [livejournal.com profile] kbrighton to the wonderful world of Warlord. Richard then proceeded to start off right by buying about 5 or 6 starters worth of cards. Looking forward to having some extra players aroun, since there is no KCMO Warlord scene. KCK, yes. KCMO, no. Mikey at Battlezone tells me that there are Missouri residents who buy the cards, but they mostly play in Kansas. Need to fix that.

Beyond that, not a whole lot going on. Verified that [livejournal.com profile] hidaman is indeed a $10 whore, but only if you want him to do mildly-humiliating acts in public. More humiliating acts (like making him "raise the roof") cost $15. Haven't seen what a $20 will get me, but I think it's better not to push my luck. Oh, and I seem to have rediscovered the joys of watching professional wrestling. I've dubbed them "sweat operas," since they're just soap operas for men, but with more violence and persperation. Z's got a new favorite wrestler now, too -- Tajiri reminds her of her beloved Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (how's that for old-school), and I will say it's nice to have at least one cruiserweight like him on Monday Night Raw (since most of the rest have moved to Smackdown).

Bills to pay tonight online, and then I can relax. Should be a good evening. ^_^

(And looking back on this post, it appears that I've somehow declared war on subjects, leaving only objects and verbs to fill in the gaps. Shame on me -- as an [failed] English major, I should know better.)
