Apr. 26th, 2004 11:37 amWell,
tesstrosa is safely in St. Louis, and begins her trek down to Tampa today. Hopefully, her mom won't try to drive straight through to Florida, and I've told Z to not let it happen if at all possible; she has money for a motel stay, so they should be okay.
In the meantime, my schedule has been altered because I have to get back to the dogs sooner (since Z's not there), and this in turn means that
greenwings has to leave work earlier as well. This has apparently gotten Sash into trouble with his boss (our lead designer), so things may be altered a bit. Such is the problem with carpooling, so Sash may be driving in separately each morning this week (although it was my carpooling situation that kept me from going to Florida in the first place). I may have to talk with our designer and apologize for the situation. Have to do my best not to get snarky about it, such as saying things like, "I'm sorry that my wife is out of town because her grandfather died. Next time, I'll convince her family members to die closer to our home."
Yes, that would be a good thing not to say.
On other assorted notes, I need a new pair of shoelaces. I've found that my luck with shoelaces is about as good as my luck with rechargeable batteries. I have a low-level field of entropy that follows me around and slowly eats at the charge (and charge-holding capacity) in my rechargeable batteries and frays my shoelaces. So far, only my GBA-SP has proven immune to this field, which is a happy thing.
Oh, and lately, anime has been good at making me tear up. Naruto episodes 79 and 80 both got me, as did Full Metal Alchemist 25 (and I haven't seen ep. 3-24 yet). Silly, silly anime, tugging at my heartstrings like that. Unfair!
