Trying to fall asleep, and not succeeding so far, but I can't complain about the day. Dogs were relatively well-behaved, got a new icon made, and had [livejournal.com profile] greenwings and [livejournal.com profile] animarelic over to do laundry (during which we watched Equilibrium -- a most excellent film, full of gun-fu goodness). Finished up with some Witch Hunter Robin, and then it was off to Chili's to meet [livejournal.com profile] evildennis after his symphonic concert for our regular post-symphony dinner/get-together. Good conversation was had, and then I headed over to his apartment complex to briefly meet up with and say "Hi" to [livejournal.com profile] hidaman, [livejournal.com profile] richman1, [livejournal.com profile] kbrighton, and the rest of the crew. A good night indeed.

Finally got to try out Duel Masters, and while my initial description of the game, "Yu-Gi-Magic-Mon," was accurate, it wasn't bad by any means. The game was quick, easy to play, had some decent strategy going (even with the two demo decks in the starter), and had some good back-and-forth action. Very enjoyable, and I look forward to getting more cards eventually to try out some deck ideas. Might have to wait a bit, though -- need to make sure we have plenty of money set aside for A-Kon and the like.

Slowly working on getting back into the Warlord groove. They're finally doing a base set reset, similar to L5R's Diamond edition, so it should be interesting to see where the game goes from here. Probably won't take my open decks completely apart, though -- got to keep some old school goodness around.

Okay, now I'm starting to get sleepy...
