Another day working from home thanks to a metric fuckload of snow being dumped on us. They haven't even bothered plowing here in Greenwood yet, and according to the news, the top highway speeds right now are between 5 and 10 miles per hour.

It would be my luck that running a normal weblog analysis report for a client, a task I've done for this client many times with little to no problems, would just happen to fail in a most spectacular fashion while I'm telecommuting. How spectacular? How about triggering an email that told 1100+ subscribers that their accounts had expired? I'd say that's pretty spectacular for a weblog report to do that.

I'm just about ready to drop my FFXI account. There's little point in playing anymore, as I rarely have the time to party up with any large groups, and that's what you have to do from, well, level 10 onwards. I've been playing for 3 months and I still can't get past level 12 in any class. At this rate, I'll never get my subjob (lvl 18), my chocobo (lvl 20), or unlock the Dark Knight class (~lvl 30).

I give this game 2 more weeks. If I don't see any noticeable advancement in that time, I drop it and find someone to whom to give my copy.
