Working from home today due to roads that are just slick enough and ice on the car that was just thick enough to make driving to work impractical. Not dangerous, just impractical. As is, though, I've gottan a lot of work done. One project has a solid start and has been handed off to [livejournal.com profile] greenwings for content loading, and major fixes are being completed to a second project. Feeling good to get work done; sometimes I wish that I could telecommute more often, because I always feel more productive at home. Or maybe it's just because I don't get phonecalls here. ^_^ Of course, tomorrow I'll be back in the office, but in the meantime, it's nice to be home.

Today's just been a good day.

* Got our Zelda Collection GC disc in the mail today; looks like I may have to get a new GC memory card to support it (and maybe a couple more GC games while I'm at it. ^_^)
* Getting a decent amount of work done today; of course, dealing with a client who's not good at communicating ideas makes things difficult (when they give you a CD of images and a printout of how the top level page of their image library should look, and expect you to figure out how to arrange the images and layout the lower pages, and then complain that you didn't do it the way they wanted, it's a bit frustrating), but still, progress is being made.
* The snow's so big, it looks like feathers. Normally, this would be rant-worthy, but my car is in the garage. Yes! I have a garage! Mwa-ha-ha!
* No commuting today. Once I finish up my work (and I can take it at my own pace), I'm done. No waiting 45-60 minutes before I can unwind. Hell, I'm already completely unwound.

Oh, and I think it's time I got a new icon or three. Have to see what I can put together.

Forgot the best news of the day when I posted earlier...

A few months ago, Z sent her portfolio to Guardians of Order (the makers of Big Eyes Small Mouth, if you didn't know) with a mix of her color anime-based work and her black and white work for Mongoose. Anywho, she didn't hear anything back from them... until today.

She got an email from Jeff Mackintosh, their art director. He really likes her work and is definitely interested in hiring her for some freelance art.

I have only two things to say...

"Thank you, God!" and "FUCKIN' A!!!"
