The wind is beating and buffetting the house violently, and while the snow has stopped, it's being blown around in great billowy clouds. It looks like they've done a little bit of plowing, but the words I'm hearing on the news are "ice pack underneath", "slick stretches", "maybe one clear lane on highways", and "jack-knifed semi".

Oh yes, the working, it shall be done from home.

I know the roads are bad when my dad turns around and goes back home. I have chosen.... wisely.

Time to call [livejournal.com profile] greenwings and tell him that he's telecommuting too.

Getting work done, but enjoying the easier pace of telecommuting. After all, I was able to start working at 6:30 AM, and I can keep working after 5:00 PM if I want, without having to worry about rush hour. If we can get some of the last few wrinkles (apparently due to our switch from DSL to cable) ironed out, I could almost do this every day.

Wouldn't that be nice?

On second thought, no it wouldn't. I like getting out of the house and into the office. Keeps cabin fever away.
