About nine days ago, I ordered a copy of Crooks!, the Mutants and Masterminds book of villains, from Amazon. They said it would ship on the 21st, which it did. They shipped it from southeastern Kansas. "Well, that will be quick," I thought, "as I live in western Missouri."

Oh, what a fool I am.

The next day, it left an Airborne station in Tulsa, Olkahoma. "Okay, fine," I thought, "that's the wrong direction, but it's probably en route to Kansas City right now."

Nope. Apparently, this morning it was just processed at a sorting facility in Wilmington, Ohio. They completely overshot Missouri (and Illinois and Indiana), just so that it'll bounce back west. Maybe. Who knows? I certainly don't.

I should have gotten the 2-day shipping. *sigh*

I will be strong.
I will resist the siren's song of FFXI.
I will resist it despite being an FF fanboy.
I will resist it despite the fact that many of my friends are on it.
I will resist it despite the fact that it looks like fun.
I will resist it despite the fact that Loo would be able to run it beautifully.
I will resist it.
I will.

(But some part of me wishes I wasn't resisting.)
