One more day

One more day of kitchen self-sufficiency.
One more day of an empty bed at night.
One more day of a lonely, lonely corgi.
One more day of no evening conversation
One more day of wondering if she's okay.
One more day of a quiet house.

Really, I haven't been pining away for Z. I've kept busy with friends and chores and entertainment, but the fact that Z's not at home does rest at the back of my mind from time to time. Only gets to me when I haven't heard from her in a while. She said she'd call last night, but I'm pretty sure she's okay, since animarelic (who is greenwings's roommate, if I understand correctly) got home okay. I may give her a call today while I'm at work, just to make sure everything's still on schedule for picking her up tomorrow. I'm glad she had what sounds like a great time, but I won't deny that it'll be nice to have her back home. ^_^

Having trouble staying awake. Guess I'm not sleeping well, which would make sense -- the bed seems like a whirlwind hit it this morning.

Beautiful moonrise tonight. A perfectly full moon, fat and rust-red on the horizon, creeping up into shades of orange, then turning a bright yellow as it crested the tops of the apartment buildings. Used it as an excuse to walk Ein so I could go out and appreciate it more.

I need more Warcraft 3 time; the computer's still schooling me on easy, although I am getting better. I'm getting 3rd tier units out, getting an expansion created, doing some scouting (and even found an enemy expansion, although I got slaughtered in the attack), and creeping successfully (if slowly). Might be able to match off against some people online and see how I'm doing. I need other newbies to play against, or see if I can get another round of WC3 school going...

Catching a bit of Black Hawk Down on Encore; I can't imagine being in a combat zone, especially one that... well, brutal. I don't envy the job that the men and women in uniform have to do.
