(no subject)

Computer update: my parts are split between 3 packages, and two of them (which both ended up shipping on Tuesday, it turns out) are in the "FedEx Destination Location" in Kansas City, which would indicate that they'll soon be loaded on a truck and driven out to our apartment. The third package, which was shipped from New Jersey (rather than California, origin of the other two), is sitll in a sorting center in Newark. If it moves on the same schedule as the other two, it should arrive some time tomorrow, which will make me happy. I'm just curious what had to be shipped from New Jersey.

Saw the trailer for Brother Bear when we saw Pirates of the Carribean. Think I'll miss it, but there was one thing I noted - the two moose in the trailer sounded an awful lot like Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis. So, I jumped onto IMDB.com to look it up. Sure enough, they're the voices of those moose. "What the hell," I figured, "let's see what they've been up to." So I clicked on both their names (thank you, tabbed browsing) and something caught my eye... a new project for both of them in 2003...

"The Animated Adventures of Bob and Doug MacKenzie!"

FUCKIN' A, MAN!! I must see it, and if you don't want to see it with me, you're a hoser, eh?

My two packages in KC just had a delivery attempt. Note "attempt". Here's the note:

Wha? But... but... Z's at home! And she's waiting for the package for me! How can the customer be not available?!?

And now, the saga of my computer upgrade is one step closer to completion: the Box of Joy!
