A good day.
Jul. 12th, 2003 11:55 pmFirst, walking of dog, and then a quick trip to Petsmart for the trimming of the nails. This was probably his best nail-trimming yet; he only freaked out once, at the very end, and calmed right down afterwards,
Next, laundry, interspersed with the Usopp story arch of One Piece (the very end of which made me cry).
Then, some Warcrafting, including my first win on the US East realm. Huzzah! Still need to get the expansion, though, since I'm the last Clan PVP member to still be vanilla.
Then, out to Ashley and Garrett for their daughter's 1st birthday party. Aidan, their daughter, was falling asleep and thus less than interested in the festivities, but it was a good excuse to get together. Much fun was had while Smashing with Z and Jacob, and later when the whole crew watched me do a set of DDR. Getting a solid round of applause after completing the set was... odd. Good, of course, but odd, since I don't consider myself all that good. It's all relative, I suppose -- they were amazed. I was happy with my performance, though -- got an A on La Senorita and Dynamite Rave (which can be tricky on a worn-out soft pad), and a C on Afronova (which is good, considering it's only the 3rd time I've passed that song.) Between this, and getting schooled by Jed on DDR MAX Thursday night, I am inspired to do DDR every other morning. So, Monday morning, it's dance-time, baby.
Best thing about today, though, was that it was spent with my baby. There was much mutual smiling, laughing, and touching. After today, I feel calm, relaxed, centered, content, and... happy. Just happy with everything, and thankful to God for all of it.
