Status Quo.

Well, everything is back to normal. My wonderful Z is back, and the corgi is back, and the energy that was missing from the apartment is back. When they were gone, the apartment was where I lived, and it was my refuge at the end of the day, but it was missing the feel of "home". Yes, I could relax there, and it was where I kept all my stuff, but it was just shy of being home. With Z and Ein back, it's home again. It feels home-y. Just drives home the point that a home is something that springs from sharing your space with someone with whom you feel comfortable. A dorm room can be home if you have close friends there, and even a loving pet can turn a house into a home.

And as for my two weeks of being a bachelor? Well, it was definitely a nice change of pace, but it's nice to be with Z again. Bachelorhood was a nice place to visit, but I can only stay there so long. Yes, there's the occasional frustrations from having to share your life with someone, but I'll take that over having all the time in the world and no one to spend it with. I will say, though, that if anything made it bearable, it was my friends. Knowing that I could spend time with them when I needed company made the time without Z bearable.

And to those friends who I didn't visit, I apologize, and will try to visit more often, because you are very important to me too.
