Corporate conference calls suck.

Conference call... sucking... my will... to live...

Very few things suck quite as much as a conference call where you're interested work-wise in about 5% of what's being discussed. I'm unable to focus on or work on anything else, I have to remain quiet, I can't listen to any music, I have to sit with a phone headset stuck between my ear and shoulder, and I'm BORED TO TEARS.

It doesn't help that one person involved is one of our most annoying contacts with a particular client, and that another one has an extremely soothing voice. I keep switching between bristling with annoyance and slipping into a slumber.

Stayed home from work yesterday due to something (possibly a cold, possibly just bad allergies) sucker-punching my sinuses all morning, but by 5 PM I was feeling better, so I went out to A2Z to meet up with Ben and play some Warlord. Y'know, the more I play this game, the more I find myself really enjoying it. Enjoying it the way I enjoyed playing L5R back in college with Dennis. It's simple, but with lots of strategy, there's not much to keep track of, it's all combat, and there's no resources to keep track of. I find it to be very refreshing.

The auctions have ended, and from my 12 items, with minimum total bids of $20, I've made $108.79, not counting shipping and handling costs. Just have to pick up some mailers tomorrow night, and as soon as the payments start coming in, they'll start going out Friday morning.
