(no subject)

An absolutely beautiful day today. A little chillier than I might like, but otherwise perfect. The sky is clear and blue, and there are hardly any clouds in the sky to block the wonderful sunlight. I've been productive, too. Finshed up one project, getting revisions done on a second, and doing maintenance on a third, all without feeling flooded by work. My mood is good, my energy level is high, and I feel nice and relaxed.

It's just a shame that my Z is still sick. :(

Coding Coffee.

The more I play around with Java, the more I come to like it. It's gotten much more robust since I was messing around with it in the 1.0 and 1.1 days. It's gotten larger and more complex, sure, but the basics are still easy to do... and the whole multiple-platform thing makes it great for developing apps where you're not sure what it will be deployed on. I'm still mostly a Perl/PHP head (pay no attention to all the ColdFusion code I've written - they paid me to do it!), but I'm really starting to develop an appreciation for Java.
