Actually, had a pretty good weekend. Saturday, we went over to Mom and Dad's so that they could dog-sit while we went to Garrett's D&D game. Mom made some delicious stir-fry to make sure we were well fed, and then we had a fun night of gaming. Actually wrapped up in record time, too - only a couple of major combats, and a lot of puzzle solving. In the end, my old character was resurrected and given to Garrett as an NPC, and my new character advanced a level, so it's all good.

Today, we woke up really really early, as we spent the night at Mom and Dad's; half of the church lighting team is in Jamaica, and the Barr family is the other half. Got through setup despite a couple of near-catastrophes, and the services themselves went pretty smoothly. Got teardown down in decent time, and made it back to the house to pick up Ein and get back to our apartment in time for Z's mom and brother to bring down an oak dining table. It's a beautiful table, too... solid oak, nice and spacious (with the leaf in place), and sturdy (once we tighten it up again in 3 weeks). They also brought over 3 boxes of Z's old possessions, going all the way back to junior high. She had fun sorting through them, revisiting past memories. In addition, they brought their 2 dogs, Mickey and Jack (Mickey's son, who's half Rottweiler and bigger than Mickey). Other than infuriating Ein (who is small, and they are not), Mickey also pissed on my coat, which is now soaking in the guest bathtub. Oh well - these things happen.

Afterwards, we went out to Hop's for dinner, where I had my beloved Jamaican Top Sirloin, and all was well. Now, the Sunday blahs are setting in and I'm starting to feel nap-tastic. A busy weekend, but a good one.

Z's sleeping on the couch - she fell asleep at 8:00, way too early as far as I'm concerned - and Ein's asleep on the recliner. It's very quiet in here. The TV's on, but other than that, there's nothing going on. I've got no one to talk to at the moment, and nowhere to really go. It's almost like being a bachelor, but without the freedom to go out and do whatever I want.

It's very lonely, really. I figure I'll try to get some work done on SiteMonkey, but the stillness of everything is a bit mind-numbing.
