Fuck anyone who calls for the deaths of innocent Americans because he sees us all as Godless infidels. Smoke them out, round up the motherfuckers, and kill them. I'm fucking tired of having to live with the knowledge that somewhere, someone is plotting the violent death of me, my friends, my family, and everyone around me because he doesn't like our government's policies. Anyone who has exactly zero respect for human life doesn't deserve to live. Fuck your jihad. Go to Hell, go directly to Hell, do not pass "Go", do not collect 200 dollars.
Fuck any government who treats its civilians as sub-human, not even making any attempt to get them food and medicine, and yet declares their accidental deaths at the hands of a military strike as proof that our country is targeting civilians. Mullah Omar, if we were targeting civilians, you'd know it right away, because Kabul, Khandahar, Jalalabad, Herat, et al, would cease to exist. If we wanted your civilians dead, you'd be stacking them like cordwood, assuming you weren't dead yourself.
Now, with that out of the way, no, I'm not blind to why the terrorists are upset, but they're blind to how we work here. They act like every American citizen is to blame, because we haven't overthrown our government for its foreign policies. Well, unlike most third world countries, we don't overthrow our government every time we disagree with it, especially since the average American has no say on foreign policy. I don't think they hate us for our freedoms -- although it is a threat to their strict way of life -- but rather, I think they just don't understand them.
And don't start dragging out the statistics on Iraqi children, and how many have died at the hands of U.S.-led sanctions, or how Palestinians are our victims because Israel is our ally. In the former case, I think Saddam Hussein's regime cares for the children of Iraq as much as the Taliban care about the children of Afghanistan -- absolutely not at all, except to use them as a statistic. Personally, I think when we're done with Afghanistan, we should do the same to Iraq -- bomb the fuck out of its leaders and military, and feed its people. As far as the Palestinians go, I'm no fan of how Israel's treated them, but that's hardly justification for the murder of innocent Americans, Brits, Germans, Aussies, and members of other nations who had nothing to do with it. While our policies may not be the best, they're in no way justification for the absolutely cold-blooded death of people in NYC, DC, or anywhere else.
Yes, this is a war of Us and Them, but it's not Christians v. Muslims, or West v. East, or Americans v. Afghans. It's a war between those who value human life, and those who don't. A non-violent solution would have been great, but it would have been lost on people who only understand violence. There's no negotiation with someone like that, and appeasing them by rolling over every time they bloody your nose doesn't work either, because they'll just do it again.
