I love my wife.
I know that's an easy thing to just rattle off, but let me explain in depth why I love my wife.
Well, first of all, maybe she's not a supermodel, but she's beautiful all the same. She has the most beautiful smile, and her blue eyes just gleam when she smiles. When I tell her how beautiful she is, she gets the cutest rosy cheeks as she blushes modestly. No, her body isn't perfect, but neither is mine, so I have no room to complain, neh? And besides, her clothed body turns me on more than any naked body I've seen... other than hers, of course. :)
Speaking of her naked body, she's the best lover I've ever had. Of the few women who have been kind enough to join me in bed, she outshines them all. She's sensual, inventive, imaginative, and playful. She knows exactly what I like, and I know what she likes, and we make each other extremely happy. She's also great for cuddling with me after sex, or even instead of sex -- sometimes it's nice just to have someone to touch or someone to touch you.
On a more domestic front, she's an awesome cook. She knows how to make what seems like a gourmet dinner out of a few inexpensive ingredients, and she's always trying new recipes and new combinations of dishes. She's not restricted to any one style of cooking either... she makes the best pasta dishes, whips out pan-fried noodles and stir-fry like a champ, and broils the most awesome hamburgers too. And she makes great breakfasts too!
She's also an awesome artist, even when she goes through periods of self-doubt (which, I'm convinced, is a standard artist thing). She's continually working on tweaking and perfecting her style, which itself is constantly growing and evolving. She's driven to create -- I can't keep blank paper around her, because it's almost immediately covered in doodles and sketches. I don't mind, though, because they're always beautiful, even if they're just random sketchwork.
Perhaps most important of all, she loves me too. She's always looking out for me, making sure I'm well fed and appropriately pampered. She looks after me when I'm sick, rubs my back when it's sore, and cheers me up when I need a laugh. She wishes me a safe trip every morning when I leave for work, and another when I get ready to come home. She's utterly devoted to me, and not in an "obediant servant" fashion -- she looks after me because she wants to, because it makes her happy to do so.
Sure, we argue sometimes, but who doesn't? We have different minds, so we sometimes see things very differently, and we're both very stubborn about our viewpoints. However, for every time we argue, we have at least a hundred times when our minds just hit the same wavelength. We both break into song at the same time while we're driving somewhere. How cool is that? We can finish each other's sentences. One of us will tell a bad joke just as the other is thinking it. It's like we're merged at the soul.
Of course, there's many more reasons why I love my wife, but I could be writing all night if I tried to list them all, so I'll just stop here with the biggies. I just hope I can give my wife as much love as she's given me over the last five years we've been together. (Okay, we've only been married since late May, but we first met five years ago this month, and started dating shortly thereafter.)
So, to reiterate:
I love my wife.
