Well, we now have a copy of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles reserved, which came with a free Game Link cable for connecting our Gamecube to our non-existant GBA. Oh, well. Only a matter of time before we have one, I suppose. *bides time*
In other news, it looks like I'm stuck with my Logitech Dual Action analog stick gamepad. I tried to get an exchange under warranty from Gamestop today (as the analog sticks have gotten very wonky, and it's just over a month old), but apparently it's only a manufacturer's warranty, which means I'd have to ship the thing back to Logitech. Shipping costs + time without gamepad fir FFXI != fair trade for new pad. The pad I have is usable; it's just a bit, well, twitchy. More time-biding, I think. Perhaps I'll get one of these PSX-to-USB adapters from Radio Shack.
(Edit: After doing some more research, it appears that many people have the same problem with the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad - the analog sticks get horribly decalibrated after about a week or two of use, and there's no way to reliably recalibrate them. Logitech can bite me; I'm getting an adapter and using one of my spare Dual Shocks.)
