It's past 1 AM, and I'm just not tired. Going to have to force myself to go to bed, or I'll be up all night. Hope it's not another burst of insomnia, because that usually means I'm buzzing, which means I'm prepped for a crash soon. I can do without a crash, thankyouverymuch. So, in the meantime, I shall subject you all to my random thoughts for the day.
Dad helped us get the cable drop we set up working (by switching the live lead from one cable going into the house to the other). Sure beats calling Comcast and getting charged $20+ for the same work. Nice to have the big TV working again. Thanks, Dad!
Mmm. Buttered toast jelly beans. Mmmm. Anywho... back to the randomness.
Still have a small amount of Christmas shopping to do, but nothing huge huge. Technically, shopping for Dan, Dennis, Mark, et al, can be done on the 26th, since our get-together isn't until the 27th, but I think I'll get it done over the next 2 nights. Still trying to figure out what to get Mark and Kat. Got some ideas for Jed, Seth, and Kim, but still struggling a bit. Might have to delay a couple of gifts until New Year's or thereabouts, but we'll see.
Starting to draw up resolutions in my head for next year. Nothing amazingly profound, but some good ideas. Things like getting back into painting minis regularly, getting some Warlord demos set up in KCMO, that kind of thing. Oh, and having better mental discipline, but if I want to get the things done that I want to do, that's what it'll take.
Speaking of mental discipline, I'm slowly willing myself to sleep, I think. See you all in the morning!
