nockergeek: (thinking)

I think the nocker part of me has this innate need to have a project going. More than that, it needs to have a personal project and actually get work done on it. It's one thing to toss around ideas; it's another to actually get something done on it. I was feeling irritable this afternoon -- just generally grumpy. Unlocking a few more weapons on Soul Calibur 2 helped a bit, but not much.

Then I devoted about an hour this evening to working on a background for the church's Christmas presentations, and all my frustration just went away. I feel like I can relax now. My work for the night -- and I do mean my work, work I've chosen to do, not work that's been forced upon me -- is done, and I feel satisfied. I had the same feeling when I finished Z's website, and when I finished the redesign of the church website. Feels good to get something accomplished.

Trying to think of other things I can get going in the next few weeks. Not too much - overload leads to burnout, and that's not what I want. Would like to get something going, though. I know [livejournal.com profile] greenwings still wants [livejournal.com profile] kbrighton and me to work on a player database for BlackGate MUX, and somewhere in there I'd like to either get work started in earnest on either a Mutants and Masterminds game or a .hack//TABLETOP game. Something or other. Just need something to do.
