Been fighting off a mix of a cold and dehydration for the last 3 or 4 days. I'll feel miserable for a while, then rehydrate and feel better, then feel less miserable in the morning, and then feel miserable again. My body's in a constant state of flux, and it's just, well, annoying. Makes it hard to focus on work, as if I didn't have enough trouble with that sometimes. Already had a quart of water today, and drank about 3 quarts yesterday. My body's like a sponge lately.
Money situation's tight this for the next couple of weeks; looks like we'll have a whole $150 in the bank (not counting the $100 in savings at the moment) after rent, bills, groceries, gas, and Z's trip. We'll be okay -- all the necessities of life will be accounted for -- but we'll have 0 extraneous funds. Good thing I've got plenty of entertainment options at home, and I can live on ramen, salad, and PB/Js while Z's gone. I could try playing the game of Creative Bill-Paying -- paying some bills late, and others in partial amounts - but I don't want to do that. I want to get everything paid in a timely manner. Besides, after the 15th, we'll have money again -- and I don't know how much Z will have left over from her trip. The downside is, no teppanyaki for us on Dan's birthday. But there will be post-teppanyaki hanging out, so we can still see our peoples.
Might hang with Dan tonight, but if not, I might try some more Warcraft 3. I'm learning a lot about multi-player, and how utterly different it is from single-player. I still balk at all the multi-tasking required - building and creeping and scouting at the same time still boggles me - but I think that I can learn the hotkeys and get better. Hats off to Clan PVP for helping put me through Warcraft 3 school on Monday night. Perhaps I can hone my skills this week and come back for another lesson next week.
